Bentley’s new land-yacht, the Mulsanne, is a car made with exquisite attention to detail.

Mentioned in the Bentley website, “it takes more than two months to build a Bentley Mulsanne, of which more than 50 per cent involves hand craftsmanship.” Explains why the price resembles that of some real estate properties.

Toyota livens up!

I think Toyota has come to the realization that their road cars are borderline boring. Between the Camry, Corrolla and some of their other passenger cars, they don’t really have anything in their arsenal which makes your heart skip a beat. The Supra was the last car to do that in my opinion.

Differentiating itself from the likes of M and AMG (BMW and Mercedes respectively), Toyota’s new in-house tuning division – G’s Performance – will be rolling out sportier variants of their cars where certain exterior, interior and suspension components will be modified. The added value to their offering is that the customer can tweak some of these adjustments to his or her liking.

When asked if there was a fully-electric sports car planned at Ferrari, Amedeo Felisa (CEO) answered the following:

“If you look at global warming, the right solution is not full electric. It’s more a marketing solution than a real one, sound is just as important as design and performance for Ferrari. We will not make engine sounds with speakers.”

Are you a person who loves mashing the throttle and watching the speedometer needle rise?

Or are you a person who enjoys taking corners at g-force inducing speeds?

In a time when most automakers are afraid to venture into the ‘high cost’ supercar realm, Ferrari sees it as a necessity for maintaining their brand image and overall vision. I couldn’t agree more! Which is why it was great to hear that CEO, Amedeo Felisa, has confirmed that a new Enzo is “on it’s way”!

Expect Ferrari to ditch the V12 engine – in the name of efficiency – for a high output V8, possibly twin-turbocharged, pushing 700 hp.

Virgin Racing’s launch of it’s 2010 Formula 1 race car, the VR-01, is a special one. Why? They are the first team ever to design their car solely by using computer technology and not through the standard aerodynamic & wind tunnel testing. It will be really exciting to see if they will be competitive enough using this innovative approach when the season kicks off. The team also announced that its drivers will be Timo Glock (German) and Lucas di Grassi (Brazilian) for the 2010 season.

Lamborghini cars are works of art. They instantly stand out in a crowd and need no introduction whatsoever. So why make advertisements when these cars practically sell themselves? Well, I for one am glad they decided to make these two ads for the LP 560-4 Gallardo. Enjoy!

These three German rockets have been battling it out for quite some time now. The models are relatively similar in size & power, but driving dynamics is what truly splits them apart. Audi and BMW have not yet released their latest models of the RS6 and the M5 respectively, but Mercedes has recently introduced its newest E63. Which would you choose?

Audi RS6

Quattro all-wheel drive with a twin-turbo V10 engine pumping out 580 hp; 0-100 km/h in approx. 4.5 seconds.

BMW M5

Rear wheels churn out 500 hp thanks to the F1-inspired V10 engine. 0-100 km/h is approx. 4.4 seconds.

Mercedes E63 AMG

Powering the rear wheels is a 6.2 liter V8 engine with 518 hp catapulting the car from 0-100 km/h in approx. 4.6 seconds.
