Lotus Evora Carbon Concept
Carbon, carbon, carbon. The expensive and super-reliable material is the talk of the industry these days, whether it’s in the name of efficiency or lightweight performance. So it’s only natural that a company like Lotus, one that prides itself on its sporting nature, would come up with something like this.
The Evora Carbon Concept is a one-off model, most probably created for research purposes. The Evora has gone through a structural carbon fiber transformation to lower its weight, including the use of a carbon fiber roof, diffuser and splitter.
The theme carries over into the interior, where there is a broad use of leather, alcantara suede and carbon fiber panels. Now, the car might not seem that special at first site. But when you think about how Lotus already produces their standard cars with “power-to-weight ratios” in mind, then you know that the extensive use of carbon fiber in this concept model means it could be something very special.
