More auto-related Facebook drama…
Photographs of new cars are usually leaked onto the internet prior to their physical launch. It’s just something we’ve gotten used to. In recent times, we’ve seen the Mercedes-Benz SLK, Bentley’s Continental GT, and Nissan’s new GT-R – to name a few – all get press coverage before they were actually unveiled. An added bonus for us, but painful for the behind-the-scenes individuals who spend endless hours working on the car and prepping it for public viewing.
Now, onto what this post is all about: the image above is a snapshot taken from Webb Bland’s Facebook page. Bland is the photographer who was hired to take the launch images for the Chrysler 200. He’s understandably pissed at the person responsible for the “leakage” of the imagery, but he also targets the blogs which posted the images as well. I don’t think blogs are to blame for such a thing, simply because the world wide web game is all about who gets interesting news first. Credit to Webb Bland though, he may possibly be the first to have spoken out about this issue, granted in a not-so-macho way.
