Volkswagen’s Race Touareg 3 is just what the world needs!
The Qatar Motor Show has been filled with some great production and concept cars, but this one takes the cake for me! In celebrating three consecutive wins in the Dakar Rally, Volkswagen unveiled the Race Touareg 3 concept car; a street-legal version of the championship rally model.
The Race Touareg 3 uses the same 300-horsepower 2.5-liter TDI engine found in the rally truck. Gold-colored BBS racing wheels work hand-in-hand with the gold “Race Touareg” graphics on the sides of the body.
The interior is just brilliant! It has matte carbon-fiber trim and a Serpetino Grey Metallic role cage, Recaro racing seats and door panels trimmed in black, grey and red Nubuk and perforated Nappa leather. Will it ever see production? I hope so!
