Video: Heathrow Airport looks to McLaren for help
It’s no secret that the skies over London are congested with planes waiting to touch down at Heathrow Airport. Operating at 98% capacity, Heathrow – the world’s busiest international airport – is no longer an efficient operation. Planes arrive and spend way too much time taxiing while facing delays due to traffic congestion leading to all sorts of issues, as well as unwanted CO2 emissions.
Where does McLaren come in? Its vast knowledge and experiences in F1 racing, a sport where every minor detail is pitted against the clock, are what Heathrow Airport wants to learn from. Especially how pitstop strategies work. Watch the interesting video from CNN after the jump.
